Throughout 2000's our species have been showing signs of 'awareness' and recognition of the planetary pulse.

This site is to discuss how we can better recognize the importance of our interrelationship (this is in reference to all living biological systems, not just humans) with this planet, and the planet's relationship with the solar system, solar system to the universe, and on (what is it that we need to collectively learn for sustenance within these layers of systems, especially today since we are working towards exploration and sustenance within systems outside our planetary).

Signs of destruction of Earth's rain forests, ozone layer, oceans, and more do not necessarily demonstrate that we human inhabitants are evolved cognitively enough to be collectively aware that we are a crucial part of the overall system (and that the overall system is crucial to us).

There are many individually aware, but not collectively within our societies or globally.   Most of our species are stuck in the short term economic rush.    Mid to late 1800's and throughout the 1900's to today, mankind began a rapid movement in 'extending itself', enabling new reflections, the recognition of what is possible beyond a collective World Model;  a new paradigm shift excited by a revolution of technological by-products (electrical systems, ground vehicles, aircraft, communication systems, science and advanced medical tools, spacecraft, etc.).   New conditions for such a young curious species to extend and reflect upon. Unfortunately also promoting a rush of consumerism, including adrenaline addiction, fostering a new generation of behavior towards overconsumption vs. nurture-ism.   Revolutionary products fostering a shift in a species recognition process, the discovery process, and creativity on an ultimate edgeless canvas.    Is this paradigm shift creating a form of cognitive dissonance (“ontological shock.”) to our kind, shifting our many cultural World models towards annihilation  (new generations moving away from the traditional means; yes, even the intellectual exclusivity of the scientific mainstream--the current style of cognition  between Religion and Science)?  Today, our young generation (called Generation Y) is born into a new space of memes (one of the very tools created by our species) called Cyberspace, ignoring the very fabrics of our physical World Earth and it's form of matter.  Saints and mad men(women)... we all are?

A Prose by H. Stewart

Mankind

Pulling away from the laws of nature
declaring godliness in its womb environment
neglecting the responsibilities of the laws of cause
and blindly ignoring the effects, its achievements

Reaching for newer boundaries beyond reach
and knowingly outgrowing all natural resources
avoiding the responsibility of the effects
in hopes to harness all Life's forces

Now barefoot in the sand and gazing skyward
ignoring the ebb and flow of the tides of the undying sea
transfixed upon the halo of lights that reign the night
is this unusual creature, a unique and desperate entity.

One-third of the U.S. food supply relies on honey bees. Without bees to pollinate crops, many essential (and favorite) foods are at risk, including apples, squash, tomatoes, strawberries, almonds, and even chocolate.

Several countries, including Germany and France, have already banned clothianidin. And after the bans, bee populations began to rise again.

But in the U.S., clothianidin is used on millions of acres of crops and American beekeepers report losses of up to 90% of their bees. Many worry that their hives won't survive another season. Sign Susan's petition urging the EPA to save the bees and immediately end the harmful pesticide's use.
